I'd love to get rid of the green hideous lights on my Lincoln Aviator's dash gauges.  Any idea on how to change them to the red mood lights?

The IP bulbs in the Lincoln Aviator and Ford Explorer and clear glass and not colored green.  What makes the instrument gauges green are the gauges themselves.  I am not sure that using the moods lights or bulb caps will change that or they will change the color to somewhat of an odd color mix.

I found these on AutoZone and they might work, but I don't think so

My Mustang has green capsules that the bulbs sit inside.  I removed the capsules and put in some yellow bulbs and now the gauges light up a really cool color rather than that ugly green.

I'm not sure that the first Gen Aviator's bulbs can be changed or not.  The 2005+ Ford Mustangs can be adjusted via the MyColor gauges.

Was green standard or did you have to get special?
