I joined this site in January 2015 thinking that a new Aviator was coming and after close to three years now, nothing has happened.  There are so many established SUVs on the market now and new ones coming that I have to ask what is going on at Lincoln?  An entire new generation of Explorer is coming and still no Aviator?

I have seen people come and on from this forum thinking the same as me that an Aviator was coming.  We've all moved on other other brands though.

I've long though the same thing.  Maybe they are waiting to make a Aviator Hybrid or something. That's already been done years ago by Toyota, so that wouldn't be anything new.  It has taken Ford way too long to get Lincoln an SUV below the Navigator where the sweet spot is.  Lincoln needs to take some lessons from Tesla/

Nice. The Aviator is certainly coming and it's probably being aligned with the release of the next generation Explorer.  Not sure if that's actually true and why that would even be the case, however, that's what I have been reading.
