Hi everyone!

I've got a 2003 Aviator, and recently my AC system leaked. So I decided to look into it, and there appeared a leakage in the evaporator core (you know, that aluminum piece that looks like a small radiator). I have no idea how come it broke, but apparently it did. So most probably I will have to replace the whole core, as I do not feel that it will last if I get it fixed. I am pretty sure that with the temperature changes and stuff it will leak again quite soon. So I was wondering, if any of you folks had experience with non-OE evap cores? I am concerned about the fitment, to tell you the truth... As I'm afraid of ordering something, attempting to install it and then realizing that the damn thing won't fit or the hose sizes are wrong.... On the other hand, I do not feel like I want to overpay by ordering the piece from the dealer.

Thanks, any help's appreciated!

A quick update - decided to give it a try and went ahead and ordered an OE-style replacement evap core (https://www.carid.co...aporator-cores/). They assured me that the part will fit, and if I do not like something about it, I'll be able to return it... I decided that It's worth a try, and the piece is not that costly.
