Window latch clicks but won't open on my '05 Aviator. Seems that plastic ball ends crack. I have new metal ends per YouTube video to fix. But can't get interior plastic trim removed. Popped all the perimeter clips, but hung up in center. Don't want to pull and crack it. Suggestions?

There's a long tool that's used to pop that clip loose.  Someone used an alternative, I think that it was a garden hoe but I can't remember.

So there is another clip in the center someplace?
